Did you realise your pug cant eat stuffing?
Christmas is one of the best times of the year and your pug will love it too, as you will be generally spending lots of time at home. With all the tasty treats and food that's readily available, we wanted to put together a list of ten things to avoid giving your pug this Christmas and explain why. How many did you get? Don't forget to let us know in the comments below.- 1 - Turkey or Chicken Skin
Traditionally your Christmas turkey will have been cooking in either oil or goose fat, therefore the fat content of chicken/ turkey skin is high. - 2 - Gravy
Instant gravy granules or powder are made for human consumption and nearly always contain onion powder. - 3 - Stuffing
Most stuffing Mixes often contain onions and garlic and should not be fed to dogs - 4 - Chocolate
In large enough amounts, chocolate and cocoa products can kill your dog. The toxic component of chocolate is theobromine. Humans easily metabolize theobromine, but dogs process it much more slowly, allowing it to build up to toxic levels in their system. You can buy them chocolate alternatives from most pet stores - 5 - Nuts
Dogs will have more trouble processing nuts, although a little amount of peanut butter can be used as a rare treat - 6 - Mince Pies
